Writing Goals Clip Chart K-12

I think it has literally been over a year since I've blogged about anything.  I'm a terrible blogger!!  But, I'm really excited about my latest project.

Texas has gone to a new teacher evaluation system and under our new TTESS system, teachers have to create goals and revisit those goals periodically through the year.  My goal this year, that I've been wanting to do for some time, is have kiddos set & monitor their own writing goals. This clip chart is my way getting started on that goal.

It's not very pretty hanging up on my wall right there because I put it on a tiny little bulletin board. But, at least you can get an idea of what it looks like when it's put together.  I hole punched the pieces and hung them together with rings, but you can certainly put it together any way you choose.

I then colored some clothespins to looks like pencils and starting this week, I'm going to help children set goals during our writing conferences.  I cannot wait to see how it goes!

Included with this pack are some tracking sheets to help keep track of student progress through the writing goals.  I'm hoping to use them in our data folders this year to help us see growth in our writing.  Click on any of the pictures to go the product on TpT.
